Brent's Drugs is an important part of the culinary history of Jackson, Mississippi. Located at 655 Duling Avenue, in the Woodland Hills Shopping Center, it is a classic drug store and soda fountain dating to 1946 that serves ice cream favorites and diner comfort food. It was founded by pharmacist Alvin Brent, who left Patterson's Drugs in downtown Jackson to open his own pharmacy and soda fountain in the Fondren neighborhood. Brent sold his business in 1977. the food and the shake were very tasty, and the service was good. it was quite regrettable to find a bright red hair in the middle of my pommes. I could look right into the kitchen and see who it was probably also. our waitress went back to talk to a manager, but we couldn't talk to him, and while they took the riders away from my order, they didn't offer to make new fries that I would have been happy to pay for. it has completely devastated our visit; I went in with a smile and made extremely disappointed. I want to give them another try, but maybe after a few years?
What a treat! Like stepping back in time, in the relaxing, take time for family kinda way. Onion rings are very good, tuna melt and cheeseburger filling, sundaes are HUGE and shouldn't be missed! However, the service at Brent's Drugs was the absolute best part of this visit! If you're in Jackson,for a family vaca, sweet romantic date or just want something a little different than the usual, add Brent's to your day!
Great experience and food. Our service was excellent. Price was $18.00 for a float, apple pie ala mode, cookie monster sundae, and a milkshake. Pie was delicious (dutch apple). The diner itself was like walking back in time with a 50’s-60’s vibe. Would highly recommend.

Formerly a soda fountain in the pharmacy, this location has recently been renovated while keeping the turquoise booths and original soda fountain. The breakfast I had was delightful. I didn't have a milkshake, but they looked fantastic.
When we entered the restaurant, we were promptly seated. The waitress quickly took our drink order and returned with them. While she was in the middle of taking my order, she mentioned she would be right back.
