Everyone and her brother told us that we're coming and try their ducks afteros. We finally made it, and I must be honest that the food wasn't good. In my opinion, Long Road Distillery has better Ente Nachos! The brewery tasted like the duck had cooked all day in a Crock tank. It wasn't fresh, it was wet and rough. My husband didn't bother the duck, but his handle was with the sauce (or cheese) that was on it. We also ordered a burger and the poutine. I had to take the cooked egg completely out of the poutin. I think it was far too understated. And the severity.. the only way I could describe it was as if someone had filled the taste of a dark, humid basement and created a sauce from this sme...
A Google search led us to this brewery mainly because the building (an old church/funeral home) looked interesting. So glad we decided to visit both the food and beer were great! The staff was super friendly and patient, explaining the beers to us. Ambiance was fantastic fairly empty around noon on a Friday, but starting to fill up as the day went on. It looks like it would be a fun place to sit outside when the weather is nice. As we were browsing the merchandise for purchase, they offered us free glasses from the bar a cool souvenir to remember our weekend trip to Grand Rapids.
We stopped in for lunch on a Monday and sat at the bar and had a really wonderful experience! All of the beers we tried were great and the bartender was super helpful and even gave us a couple extra samples. We?d heard good things about the beer, so wefocused on that but did get the poutine and it was nice too. They change up the gravy on a regular basis too. It?s a funatmosphere being in an old church. Definitely recommend grabbing a spot at the bar so you can enjoy the stained glass as abackdrop.
We literally drive from Chicago to order the bone marrow in the Vivant brewery! It's always phenomenal when we order it. Perfectly seasoned with the right amount of salt to pair beautifully with a bright ale. And incredibly juicy! You can take the bread and literally soak it into the bone marrow juices before you finish it. And the portion is larger than any bone marrow we've ever had in Chicago. Try it whenever you visit!

Wir haben immer ein stellarisches Erlebnis in der Brauerei Vivant, deshalb kommen wir immer wieder zurück. Das Bier ist unglaublich und interessant, das Essen ist weit über den Erwartungen, die man aus einem normalen Brauerei-Tarif haben kann, und der Service ist das Beste, was ich in der Stadt gefunden habe. Wir sind immer willkommen und genießen unseren Besuch jedes Mal. Vielen Dank
Great brewery!! 15+(sorry can't remember exact number) beer varieties on tap. Nice outdoor seating as well as cool inside decor (think it was an old church). Has a small play area for the kids with a wooden playhouse! Only critique is they could have moved seating closer together on outer patio to make the kids play area bigger.
The duck poutine was incredible and the salad I got had no right to be as tasty as it was, what an excellent Vinaiigrette. The actual star, however, was the chocolate board. Maybe the most terrible dessert I've ever had. I'm glad I finally made it for a night with my husband.
Great beers friendly service and LGBTQ+ ally?s. Also very cool that it is a refurbished old chapel turned into a brewery, personally loved the stained glass windows and furniture, cool vibes. I did not get to try the food, but would go back again tohangout and drink beer.
