Tried Brick and Porter for the first time with some friends on a Friday night. I had heard good things about this place, and we wanted to try a restaurant downtown GR. We absolutely loved it. The service was fantastic- prompt, friendly and attentive. We ordered appetizers based upon the suggestions from the waitress, trying the beer cheese and the egg rolls. These were amazing! They have a large menu which would meet the needs of any finicky palate. They also have great drinks, including a large tap list. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked fantastic. I made reservations for a special night out with another couple a few weeks in advance. Was let down that we had the table right next to the door. It was freezing. We had to eat dinner with our jackets on which made it very uncomfortable. The food was good, the fried pickles were a bit of a disappointment, very little batter, so if you like to eat hot pickles your golden. The other complaint I'd mention is for anyone who is short like me, the chairs are tall but the bars to rest your feet on are too low leaving your legs to dangle. The back of my legs are still sore 2 days later. I'd go back but definitely sit in the back and at a low top table and not for a special event.
I just had with my wife and my son dinner with his fiancée. the cheese curds and beer cheese starters were amazing and unique. the beer cheese was super light, almost like an impact resistance and full taste. Yeah, we cleaned the bowl. the cheese curds were so perfect roasted with an amazing garlic flavor and then the burgers arrived. we are stuffed! I am a great man and had rest. my wife explained what she had. give them an attempt, the personal is attentive and they know their menu.
came in to try out the food and drinks, it took 15 minutes for everyone to confirm that I was there. I have a menu and that's it. I sat there maybe 15 minutes and no one took my drink or food order. another few DIFFERENT races came in and was immediately sitting at the bar and asked what they want to drink. I got up and left. everything I say is to treat everyone fair. it seemed like a nice facility.

Went in for lunch, wanted a hamburger or salad. Decided on The Classic hamburger. The serving size was large, lots of fries included. The server was great, checked on me several times, very nice. For the money I got lots of food. Only problem was I asked for medium and the burger was not as well cooked as I like. All in all a good experience. I’ve eaten here once before and it was also good.
we are from the city and had an appointment in the city. we found brick and porter on open table! sandwiches were super - lobster roll and the Cuban. service was great! beer selection was fabulous. we love to go to the local place!
another amazing journey to our new favorite place. my friend and I have already planned future dates here. the swatchos are unrealistic. our server was trained and both made an amazing job!
the el cuban and the club are amazing! please come here to get their summer sangria! delish and it is a crawler! ask avery is the best! so upbeat and had great recommendations!
