This is the pick of a big bunch...for wholesome, clean & delicious food...you must seek this little place out!! My daughter was at a show nearby...so, unusually i had some time up my sleeve. After perusing trip advisor En Ya looked like the best bet!It's a quirky little place...'hole in the wall' as someone else described it is spot on!!Anyway, i hope i have the pleasure of coming back to this beautiful part of Sydney as i'd love to go there again!! It is very casual and simple & the peeps here are oh so friendly and the food nourishing, tasted so good!! Do try the tempura and soba noodle soup...for around $16 it was perfect for a coolish night. We were looking for somewhere to eat on a Sunday night and passed this Japanese restaurant on a walk around the area. It is a quaint and tiny place at the end of Bayswater Rd. The seating is small and you can share with other diners, at the time we were there it filled up with individuals and families as well as takeaway customers coming in to pick up their dinners too.The food was fresh and delicious and larger portions than the average Japanese restaurant, the staff were friendly and prompt, which all made the evening a happy night to start of the week ahead.
This is my favourite small Japanese restaurant in Sydney as it is not pretentious, not expensive but serves great simple Japanese food at good prices.As I like to try a variety I have worked my way through the menu a few times, but there are always specials to add this, some seem only to be advertised on the wall in Japanese, but an enquiry to the staff about an interesting looking dish being served to someone else will always get an answer. It pays to keep your eyes peeled!
Thankyou Enya staff for accomodating our group of 6 last night. The food is delicate, delicious and full of flavour. A huge range of delicious hot and cold dishes all taken with extra time and care in the preparation and delivery. The staff are professional and very helpful. I live around the corner of that tiny restaurant that can sit only around 15 people at the time and I can't get enough of their food! It taste like authentic Japanese cuisine, the staff is so friendly and offers great service and the place is really cozy.I highly recommend their okonomiyaki, their octopus balls and their wagyu beef. Super yum!!!
Highly recommend if you like small, family type Japanese restaurants. Friendly and efficient staff, lovely food, quick service. Daily specials, vegetarian options, sake and plum wine, black sesame ice cream. Bento is well priced with varying choices and satisfying meal in itself. Only about 5 tables. Not open Mondays.
Unpretentious, small, clean Japanese restaurant with very friendly and accommodating staff. Service was quick and efficient, food was delicious and generous and good range of Japanese beverages on the menu. Daily special board. Would highly recommend a visit here.

Visited Enya this evening was absolutely delighted good portion sizes and very very friendly and helpful waitresses. Along with a quaint feel. Also very reasonably priced food can't speak highly enough of this place a must try if you are in Sydney
