I booked a reservation for 6 for what I'd hoped would be a memorable evening for my French in-laws who were in town visiting. Our experience from the moment we sat down was disappointing. The atmosphere is nice dimly lit perfect for a date night. The food however is very basic in taste and flavor. The portions are also small with the exception of the rice bowls. I prefer Tao over this restaurant hands down.
Shocking service. What is the point of making a reservation for 8:30pm when you don’t get seated until 9:05pm? Please explain. Also brushed off when asking for updates. Food was also extremely average.
Family and I went to Buddakan for my mother's Birthday We had a great time. Sam our waiter was awesome! The food, drinks, and vanilla cake was very delicious. My mom enjoyed her birthday!!!!!

I have to say the food was well cooked but definitely on the saltier end. I had to switch out the chicken congee (rice porridge) but it was too salty.
Food is good, some items stood out but will say that some were hit n miss. Recommend going for the house recommendations
Decent food, good quantity, and great ambience. Worth it if you want to experience an actual big restaurant in NYC.
