A slow Saturday night (very unusual our server, Steve, said) meant we got very personal and personable service although from the smiling faces around, I would think that this is quite the norm. As other have said, don't be put off by the plain exterior of the building or the lack of interior decorating. Food rules here and the place is quite clean and sanitary. Our appetizers were flavourful and interesting. This seems to be very authentic food place but nothing that will worry picky Canadian eaters. Great Korean and Japanese fusion food! Delicious bibimbap, udon, kimchi stew, and fried (tempura) bulgogi roll. All 5 of our family members enjoyed meals for both visits. The food is hot (be careful, I burned my lip on my soup that was literally still boiling when it was placed in front of me) and fresh.The atmosphere is plain but about what you'd expect for that part of Hamilton. The prices are extremely reasonable and the quantities ample.
Fantastic meal. Lots of extras included like rice, fish cakes, miso soup, kimchi, and candies. Plus a nice note wishing us well. Call directly to ensure no money is skimmed off the top from Skip The Dishes. Was ready for pickup in 20 minutes. We loved the Korean popcorn chicken, beef short ribs, and seafood stir fried udon noodles.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the service, and the complimentary popsicle at the end of our meal. The bibimbap, tempura, noodles, yukgaejang, and barbecue were all delicious and we appreciated everything. I visited Hamilton for the first time and I am a big fan of Korean cuisine. This restaurant was cozy and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. I ordered the bossam and bulgogi for lunch and I was extremely satisfied. I would definitely recommend this place!
I had a fantastic bulgogi takeout lunch experience. The value was great, the portions were huge, and there were plenty of different sauces to choose from. The meal also included tempura sides, a soup, and a salad. The service was friendly and efficient. I give it two thumbs up!
Yummy. We stumbled upon this place and were pleasantly surprised. I lived in Korea for two years and the hot stone bi bim bap met my standards. Three side dishes and free Japanese style miso, all fresh and good quality. Really great service and it was fast.

I tried the hot pot toppokki and it was delicious. And also I tried gyoza, really good. I didn't know that the toppokki also comes with rice. It becomes too much for me but overall I'm satisfied.
