Now, here's where things got interesting: there were quite a few women there who were on their own (not that I was looking!). I was there with my lovely wife, and we both noticed at least two or three tables with groups of four or five women, along with a few single ladies around. It's odd because I don't recall ever seeing that many women in a bar when I was single myself. So, guys, if you're interested in meeting attractive women who enjoy sports and whiskey, this might be the place for you. We took some pictures before the crowd of ladies arrived, sorry about that! I really enjoy this charming little pub; its decorations give it an authentic feel. However, the food left much to be desired. There were six of us for lunch and drinks, and half of us opted for a soup and sandwich combo. The clam chowder was mediocre—nothing special—and the corn rib was simply a string of corn with no extras. One of our group ordered a chicken salad, but it barely had any chicken in it, and when they brought it up, the waitress didn’t seem pleased. Unfortunately, our waitress was the worst part of the experience. I don't think I'll be returning.
as you are in the north along with the deer head prices are reasonable food delicious we had georgi as our server / bartender she is here since the big opening 10 years ago they have a mon fri. Special from 11 am to 3 pm Burger, fries a beer for $9 we were not here in awhile they made a huge outdoor dining area betting it really fun in summer they are even open for breakfast at 7:30 MON FRI. 8:00 SAT. SUN. reasonable also with the prices $7 $10 they charge a 3% credit card supplement extensive premium beer whisky offered....
I decided to give Butter Run Saloon a try after seeing it featured in Whisky Advocate as one of the top 50 whisky bars in the country. The whiskey and bourbon selection did not disappoint, and the food was surprisingly fantastic for a casual bar. The service was excellent as well. People here seemed to be having a good time! A lot of joking, laughing and general fun time. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. The pretzel bite appetizers were the best our table has ever had. Both crunchy and soft and very good dipping sauces.
We had a fantastic meal yesterday. The veggie burger was quite impressive—very beef-like in flavor. The steak fries were thick and delicious! I also loved that the cup of clam chowder was served in a coffee mug. Thank you!
Butter Run is the best neighborhood spot in Saint Clair Shores! With friendly patrons, exceptional service, delicious food, and refreshing drinks, it all comes together in a warm and inviting atmosphere!
Really good breakfast for never been there. Would try it again before recommend it to anyone else, would like to get another experience. Give it really a 3 1/2 Star if I could Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Appetizers and lunch were both great. Of course beverages are always good. Waitress was friendly and curtious. It's a favorite place for us.
