I have NEVER experienced service like this before. Five friends and I went out to celebrate a special occasion before a show. We ordered some wine, but they only had two bottles available that were chilled. When we arrived, we were the only table in the restaurant. We ordered olives, hummus, a cheese plate, and two salads. The olives took 25 minutes to arrive, the hummus took an hour, the cheese plate took an astounding 2.5 hours, and we never received the salads at all. We were given a few excuses but never received an apology. I was able to pay with a credit card, but the others who tried to pay with debit encountered significant issues.
Additionally, there was a $20 cover charge per person, which seemed reasonable for a small venue featuring such great entertainment. It is somewhat unusual for a downtown venue to charge that amount, though. I believe that better advertising might have helped attract a larger crowd, since Kelowna could generally benefit from improved promotion of key events. Overall, it was an interesting experience, but having been there, I doubt I will rush back anytime soon.
Danielle at Buvez is truly knowledgeable about wines. With her extensive training, she makes it easy for you to discover new favorites. I had the opportunity to taste both local and imported wines, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of many local options from the Okanagan Valley—they can definitely hold their own on a global scale. We attended an event that cost $30.00 per person. While the wine was enjoyable, the appetizers were quite disappointing, featuring only raw broccoli, raw zucchini, raw apples, olives, mushrooms, and inedible bread. I won't be returning! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The sommelier is exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly, offering a wide selection of both local and international wines. Additionally, there are some delicious vegan and gluten-free food options available.
