BZ GRILL is a HUGE RIP OFF!! Between me and my friend we ordered two Gyros and two orders of their feta fries and the total w/tax came out to almost $43.00!!! The Gyro I got barely had any meat in it and the taste was below average. It was mostlyfilled with lettuce and tomatoes and it came out to over $11.00 w/tax. Meanwhile at other restaurants or food stands I can geta Gyro loaded with meat for only $7.00-$9.00. Almost $43.00 including tax for two below average Gyros and two orders of theirfries is a complete RIP OFF!!! Don't waste your money. There are WAY BETTER and CHEAPER options in Astoria Queens!
food: delicious. nothing felt heavy or greasy, everything tasted freshly hard to find in a Greek restaurant! the falafel was tasty, although I did not expect it to be made with cherry flour in the opposite to ground cherry pears. as textural it is more like a croqueta or hush welpe than the nubby falafels that they may be used. service: very friendly, attentive and efficient! space: simple and clean, with a small escap. but they make tons of take orders. prices: average to low, considering that it is a food-in-store. a Greek salate was 12, a gyro was 9, baklava was 6.
BZ Grill certainly a staple in Astoria for all the folks who would like an authentic and affordable Greek meal. Perfect for a quick informal local lunch with a friend, this is the true New York experience. Their ingredients are always fresh and wellseasoned, they are very generous on their tzatziki sauce and even if you ask kindly they would provide extra at no charge. Theyoffer Dine in, take out and delivery always on time!
I have ordered from bz grill some paints and eating is great. the Greek pommes are one must. once they forgot to deliver the Greek pommes and immediately solved the problem. within 5 minutes was a shipper at my door with the missing object. the personal in the restaurant is very friendly. they were very helpful and friendly – even giving me a free baked goods that I had in the eye. My lord the pork gyro makes me cry. Loaded to the brim with pork that has some magic done to it. It has an almost sticky exterior that tastes like the most beautiful brown flavor. Nice brown food that nourishes the soul and my hangover. Get it withfries on the gyro. They also get it into your hands 2 minutes after ordering. I love you.
The food was very good. It came out quick and was hot and fresh. Would definitely recommend this spot. The prices were reasonable as well. Roast pork gyro was excellent. Portion was a good size, too. Wasn't hungry after leaving, either. Allaround, a good meal.
First time ordering yesterday and it was great! I had the falafel sandwich with side of fries. Every ingredient in the falafel was fresh and delicious. Seriously the best I've had in a long time. Fries were warm and the serving size generous. Enjoy!
