Stopped for lunch while driving through Kenora. Waterfront location and patio looked promising. Service was friendly but awkward. Steak sandwich was overcooked, dry and not seasoned. Not a sandwich - just a steak on a soggy piece of bread. Fries cooked in same oil as fish. Clubhouse was ok.Inside, the building reeked of mildew. Must have had water damage at some point that wasn't cleaned properly.Sign says "now open". Predict that once summer patio season is over, sign will say "now closed". Patio is only reason it gets 2 stars.
The inside is very dark and smells awful. The pulled pork sandwich was adequate, but the onion strings should have been put on the top, not the bottom! Coleslaw was good. The **** Caesar is a **** Mary because they did not use clamato juice. If you didn't take a sip through the coating on the top of the glass, the drink had no flavor.A large party of about 17 appeared shortly after we had ordered (thankfully), but as we were leaving new patrons were being told it would be an hour before they could eat! Unprofessional.

We were looking for a waterfront restaurant and this one looked good. We checked out the menu in the morning and decided this was the one for us. When we got there they were out of everything we asked for. This was a friday night going into what should be there busy weekend. We had already ordered our drink so we finished and asked for our bill. Gave the waitress $10 for a $6 drink and she wanted to know if we wanted change.We won't be back and our family that lives in Kenora sure won't be taking guests there. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Cabin Jack's is a great place to have a nice meal in a relaxed environment. Although is was busy, the food came out in a timely fashion. Portions are large and the prices are reasonable. Jack and the staff are outgoing and make you feel welcome. I recommend the Pickerel wings, you will not be disappointed.
We've been to Cabin Jacks twice. Once in November and now in February. Both times the food was excellent, as was the service. We liked the decor . It's a homey place to eat. And the prices are more than reasonable. We will be back, hopefully when the weather is warmer to try the patio! :)
We decided to try out Cabin Jacks Harbour front for Breakfast. The menu was unique (I had a breakfast pizza) the food was fast, hot and awesome. Service was phenomenal alongside the great coffee!! Our new favorite go to for breakfast.
The absolute best soup (next to mine of course). Great steak sandwich and the burgers are delish! Homemade pizza or some great fires. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
