Apparently the kitchen now closes early, but they are not telling anyone this. On Sunday the Cafe closes at 4. We arrived at 2:55. No, the kitchen was backed up so no orders. I showed my phone to the man behind the cash register it was 2:57 (we had been waiting while he took the previous order which he accepted). He was adamant no service. This was a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT, not just an inconvenience. A young friend and I make an annual trip from New Haven to Milford to celebrate her birthday at Cafe Atlantique. I have loved this place, and come on my own several times a year. I tried sending email to management they are not into replying.
Horrible..lox platter served with inconsistently sized hunks of cucumber and tomatoes, and some unwashed mesclun spring mix. (Why not slice cucumbers and tomatoes so as to be eaten with bagel?)Omelette was cooked brown with uncooked vegetables within...never again..this town has such good food..will not return here. Unfortunately, the service has become slow and lacking in personal attention, and the food quality has declined while prices have increased since the management change. The restaurant looks better aesthetically now, but it has lost its unique charm that made it special. It’s really disappointing, as this used to be one of my favorite spots downtown. What a wonderful, cozy, delicious little place in downtown Milford. Had a veggie omelette and a latte with a view to town. What a wonderful experience. Coffee was very good, although I asked for a mocha iced coffee with milk, they game me a black coffee with no milk but they put it in when I asked. Great atmosphere in the cafe. Staff was still very welcoming and friendly and gave us some information about the area. Definitely recommend. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
I really enjoy coming here! Since I moved to Milford two years ago, the owners have been champions for the neighborhood, supporting the community and bringing new energy to the area. Food: 5 stars, Service: 5 stars, Atmosphere: 5 stars.
