A random stop ended at Cafe de la Nouvelle Mairie just off the Pantheon, the Sorbonne. Enthusiastic, informal dedicated waiters who knew what they were serving and who were interested and curious about how you experienced the drinks. This is a place for wine and...they had a thorough knowledge of it. For me, who like to take a beer, they had local craft beer. I got a stout from Philomenn. I thought it was a little tame, and we had a nice little conversation around. The customes had a realy nice time with wine and the good conversation between themselves and pleasant waiters. Wine lovers in Paris, I highly recommend this place.
On holiday with our friends, the Kirklands, we celebrated their daughter’s one evening at this friendly brasserie. Nice selection of dishes on the menu I had duck cassoulet, which was yummy, my wife had chicken chips. Everyone else enjoyed theirs and the...Bergerac wines we had were delicious. At times a bit slow due being busy and staff shortages, but our waiter was charming and attentive.
I realize French waiters are efficient and busy, but it takes little to smile occasionally. Three meals here in three days with the same waiter but not one smile. My French is good so a language barrier is not an issue. Not sure what the...issue is—perhaps a case of job burnout. Food was good so i would recommend lunch here despite the issue.
This place has obviously changed hands recently, as the last time we visited, only so good. However, this time we had a very tasty meal . Very reasonably priced, and good service. The restaurant was very busy, more than others in the immediate area, which...to me speaks volumes. Would happily reccomend, well done guys.

Had a good lunch especially since it's in a touristarea. Had a Burger Montagarde: Duck burger with reblochoncheese and fries and french dressed saled. Tasted very good. Service friendly. Omelette, Cheeseburger and Canard (Duck) were tasty too.
The menu was appetizing, sadly the food wasn't. I had the jambon de campagne, which was so incredibly chewy. The waiter had the hauteur that would have been more in place in a three michelin star hotel, not a little sidewalk cafe.
Visited twice today, coffees before visiting Font de Gaume, and afterwards for lunch. Staff friendly, service good, food good and prices reasonable.
The go to place when you have to get in line at Font de Gaume at in order to get a place. Nice coffee and pastries.
