Having cycled past Café des Amis many times, I expected the standard 'french ' fare of steak and chips and average wine or beer. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find that this cute countryside restaurant standards head and shoulders above the usual local cuisine, with...carefully put together, tasty and perfectly cooked meals. We had the set menu and each little detail was exquisitely executed, from the tapenade with the goats cheese salad to the sauce on the steak. The restaurant also offers a wide range of beers. My husband and I have dined several times usually after a beautiful bike ride in the countryside. Delicious and reasonably priced lunch menu, approx. 20 francs for the plat du jour which includes green salad, main dish (choice of meat or fish) and dessert (coffee...not included). Beautiful outdoor terrace, however inside dining is ordinary. Swift and courteous service. We have not had to make reservations at lunch yet, but it may be wise particularly if you want to eat outdoors on a nice summers day. Never been there for supper so cannot comment. Have not been with kids yet but I did notice they have a highchair.
Wir kamen um 16 Uhr mit zwei Kindern und drei Erwachsenen im Café Des Amis an. Der Gastraum war leer. Wir fragten nach einem Tisch, um Kaffee zu trinken. Der Kellner sagte uns, wir müssten auf die Terrasse gehen, da drinnen kein Platz sei. Draußen auf der Terrasse waren es jedoch nur 3 Grad im Schatten. Meine Kinder sind 2 und 4 Jahre alt, es war viel zu kalt, um dort Sirup zu trinken. Vielleicht ist es ein Café für Freunde, aber definitiv nicht für Kinder geeignet!

Das Café Des Amis ist ein ausgezeichnetes lokales Restaurant mit vielen Schweizer Spezialitäten auf dem Menü. Der Service ist sehr gut und das Essen hervorragend. Besonders freitags ist die Tagesplatte für 25 CHF ein absolutes Highlight. Das Filet de Perche aus dem See, das dennoch außergewöhnlich zubereitet wird, ist besonders zu empfehlen.

Tolles Essen, hervorragender Service und eine wundervolle Terrasse. Wir hatten Steak Tartare, das köstlich war, sowie ein leckeres Dessert. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!
Angenehme Terrasse, aber auch im Winter einen Besuch wert. Trotzdem so viele Freunde.
