If you’re looking for a genuine croissant for a light breakfast in the northern region, Café Fleurette is the only option. While they don’t have facilities to warm food or proper china for coffee, the beignets and pain raisin are tempting distractions. They also offer a selection of baguettes and other artisanal breads for later in the day. Make sure to arrive early, as this delicious bread tends to sell out quickly; they’re open until 10 AM on weekdays.
I think here some morning for coffee and today I got an almond croissant after a friend had recommended the pastries. It was UNREAL! I didn't know Croissants could be so good. The owner takes so much pride and care in her bakery products and seems to remember every commuter who comes for coffee.

We drove from LakeForest to go here. Can not say enough wonderful things about this place. The breads and bakery items are outstanding. We bought what ever she had left by 9am. Excellent job, lovely lady.
Stopd today when I was in the area of Winnetka. I had her almond croissants and it was incredible!!!! It wasn't excessively sweet what I enjoyed. I will have to come back for more
Food is always great here. Croissants are family favorites, but breads and beignets are also excellent
