I love a cute lowkey restaurant spot! My friend and I came on a Saturday around 7:30 PM and we didn't have a reservation but we were seated immediately. They gave us an option for indoor or outdoor seating and we chose outdoor because it wasn't too hot. Despite being outdoors, the service was excellent and we didn't feel neglected If you and your friend aren't that hungry, ordering one entree to share along with apps is more than enough because the portions are very generous. My friend and I only ate half of our entrees. The calamari was good but I highly recommend the mozzarella sticks. The breading isn't like your normal mozzarella sticks it's super crispy! The food at this restaurant was excellent, and the fact that it is BYOB is a bonus for those who like to bring their own drinks. I ordered the gnocchi in vodka sauce with burrata and added a chicken cutlet, which was delicious and portion sizes were generous. I would definitely order this dish again. My date had the lobster ravioli in vodka sauce with added shrimp, which was also very good but the portion was smaller than some other dishes. For dessert, I had a gelato-style coffee flavored treat that didn't have much flavor. I would choose a different dessert or skip it next time. The atmosphere inside is relaxed and the decor is simple. It's a great spot for a date night!
Tonight was my third time at the Cafe Michelina. I finally branched out from my favorite spicy shrimp dish and got the shrimp scampi. It was amazing and so were our appetizers of calamari and mussels. I love the BYOB aspect of this establishment but the food is just so great no matter what you order. The waiters this evening were phenomenal and so attentive even with a full house. (As always) This truly has become our favorite place in Hoboken!
I had been hearing about Michelinas for weeks from my friend, Marco. <3 °I landed in NY, drove straight from the Airport to this Cafe to meet the owner and dine with him and my friend I met on Tour in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The best Italian meatballs I have ever had.! Not just that. The lobster Ravioli was fantastic with the Vodka sauce. The tiramisu was unlike any I've tasted. The BEST thing on the menu.. The olive oil.
This restaurant is fantastic. Everyone in our group loved their meals. The stuffed rigatoni was especially delicious! I appreciated that they allowed us to customize our dishes. I chose the cream sauce instead of the vodka sauce and added crispy chicken. I'm sure the original dish would have been just as tasty, but I was grateful for the option to customize.
This restaurant serves authentic Italian cuisine that tastes just like your mother's cooking. It is one of my favorite spots in Hoboken for their delicious Vodka sauce. They allow you to bring your own wine. You can make reservations in advance. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The bread they serve is also very tasty. I give this place five stars.
Love this little spot. Stopped in without a reservation on a Friday night. They were full, but they kindly sat us as we agreed to be gone before the reservation for their one open table arrived. We had the mussels in red sauce, fettuccine alfredo, and the zuppa de pesce. All delicious. The spot is casual and a BYOB. Make a reservation!
Went here the other night for outdoor dining and loved the food! I will definitely be back to try the other dishes. We started with mussels in spicy sauce and then I chose the stuffed rigatoni with chicken in vodka sauce while my friend had the lobster ravioli. Would recommend all of them!
This is a top notch place. I only ordered the Sweet Mussels, which perfect amount of garlic in the sauce. Highly recommended. The free bread to start went down like water. Farewell and till next time CC Rockefeller
