Going to lunch with friends is always fun it was my turn to choose and I bragged about my cafe in Kirkwood. We were received kindly and ordered. Deciding to go with the lunch special of the soup and quiche The soup arrived barely warm we ask if that could be heated and it was meant grudgingly. Then the quiche came with the salad and it was also just barely warm .I was very disappointed I know that there's better service and I know that your menu is always delicious .I'm just not sure what happened. While waiting for our food we noticed the mantle over the fireplace full of dust and clutter I don't know what is happened to my beautiful cafe in Kirkwood
The restaurant has a beautiful French ambiance. The menu is small but offers classic French options. The bread was delicious and my favorite part of the meal. The French onion soup was good but had a slightly overpowering Worcestershire taste. We were not fans of the crème brûlée with cinnamon. Our main dishes were good. The service was satisfactory. The prices on the website were outdated, causing a discrepancy in the bill. Despite this, we enjoyed our meal and plan to return. Overall, we spent over $140 for three glasses of wine, one soup, two entrees, and one dessert.
Always a great experience here. The food is fantastic. They have a three course prefix menu as well. You can select one entree and two other items for $40. It is amazing. The service and staff are phenomenal. Your water never gets below half way. The food has always been amazing. We continue coming back because the food and atmosphere are just that good. Highly recommend this place for a great date night.
Although the restaurant is beautifully decorated in a charming French style, it falls short in several respects. The kitchen may be small and in need of renovation, or management could be improved - as we had to ask for our food after waiting 25 minutes. There seems to be an issue with the waiting staff, who, despite appearing young and capable, seem to be inattentive and surprised by common occurrences. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I love Cafe Provencal! It's a great go to place for me! The food is always fantastic, the service is great and it's relatively inexpensive for what you decide to order!All of the appetizers are great! I highly recommend the escargot! The French onion soup is one of the best in St. Louis!Everything is delicious in this cozy restaurant!
Food was pretty' but just ok. Almost an hour late in seating with reservations for our large group which then jammed up the bar area while we waited. Door to ladies restroom kept locking when no one was inside...hope they fix that soon!
We had an excellent meal and service on 02-12-22. I highly recommend their scallop appetizer, beer salad, trout dinner. Their warm rolls are also very yummy. Loved the cute Fench country decor too.

This restaurant is fantastic! We enjoyed a lovely lunch with excellent service. It was the perfect spot for a Mother's Day meal with my daughters. We will definitely be returning.
