During our camping trip nearby, we visited Cafe Zydeco and had a great experience. The beignets were especially delicious. I ordered the shrimp po boy and my wife loved the French dip. The service was fantastic, and we had a pleasant dining experience. The prices were reasonable, with most dishes costing between $10-20 per person. Overall, we highly recommend trying the Beignet Ben-Yay, French Dip, and Chips at Cafe Zydeco.
A must stop if you are a fan of Cajun food. We had a yummy spicy and flavorful jambalaya, crispy hush puppies with a creamy Cajun dipping sauce, and, the best beignets ever- served hot and covered in powdered sugar. The place was already fairly busy before noon. It looks like they have pretty great breakfast too. If we come back through Helena we will be back!
The restaurant was average with nothing particularly impressive or exceptional. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't outstanding. There is potential for it to be a great dining spot, but it seems like there is a lack of motivation to elevate it from good to great.

The staff at Cafe Zydeco are familiar with my father, Harry, who is not feeling well. I stopped by to get his favorite Seafood Gumbo and they were incredibly kind. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and we had a great time!
