I have visited this restaurant before, but it had been a while since my last visit. The service was slow and awkward, but we eventually received the food we ordered. We had ordered a simple meal of sausage, fried egg, chips, and beans. However, we were told they couldn't make fried eggs and offered scrambled eggs instead, which was confusing. Additionally, we were informed that the chips would take 15 minutes to cook. However, it took 30 minutes for our food to arrive and the freshly cooked chips were disappointingly bland. The best part of the meal was the sausages. Unfortunately, I must say that this will be my last time dining at this restaurant.
I don't go to Flint very often so until I was invited to a work meeting at The Old Court House I wasn't aware of it's existence. I ordered a sweet chill chicken salad which was really tasty and not just made up of a pile of iceberg lettuce. This was followed by a very nice slab of carrot cake and my first ever pumpkin spiced latte. As always I found myself envious of someone else's meal...the full breakfast looked like it might well have been the best cooked breakfast I've never had so if (or when) I find myself back there I know exactly what I'll be ordering.
I absolutely adore the ambiance of this restaurant. The interior is cool and slightly dim, with charming historic details. The staff members are delightful. Dogs are welcome at two specific tables inside, with one dog permitted per party. They are also allowed at the outdoor tables.
I just returned from afternoon tea and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff were friendly and the afternoon tea was the perfect size and price. I highly recommend this place for food or just a cup of coffee. Sometimes the best places are right in our own neighborhood.
Fantastic place, Great staff, love the coffee, nice cakes, The food is top notch. I go there quite a lot, it has a very calm atmosphere, a great place to calm down from the stresses of the world. and it is steeped with history. I always look forward to going there.
A lovely cafe in the middle of town. Staff always pleasant, and a good choice on the menu. Apparently if you leave a good review on here you get a free cuppa and a cake.
Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for a member of staff smoking outside the open doors and filling the place with horrid cigarette smoke.
I had a tuna and cheese panini which was really nice. It was clean and had good service, would recommend.
Visited for lunch with the family and dog after a visit to the excellent Flint Castle. Top Lunch.
