12/23/24 1230-ish Not the fastest on greeting the customer at table. Ordered a cheeseburger with mayo, onion and lettuce and fries. Received cheeseburger with mayo pickles and tomato. Hate tomato and pickles... HATE.. So either waitress can't take orders or kitchen staff can not read?????, but I know never send it back because it just gets wiped off and your fries will be twice as cold as when they 1st came out. Glad I was alone. Place needs light in there so many things covering windows and everything is dark inside. Waitress was somewhat friendly. We may have all heard of somebody getting into a pickle over a Popeyes chicken sandwich, but that’s nothing compared to Cajun Joe’s Thursday special. The special it's meatloaf with green bean casserole, homemade homestyle made with love. This food and experience is worth fighting for, but after eating at Cajun Joe’s and Crystal‘s good menu; you’re too full to fight anymore. Top the meal off with homemade dessert. I had the cinnamon roll peach cobbler. It was delicious. Get to Newton Texas and stop at Cajun Joe’s and enjoy Crystal‘s fine eating and hospitality. The friendly service is as great as the food. Southern hospitality cannot be beat, only embraced.
There's a small place in Newton Texas with Nationwide hospitality. It might be called Cajun Joe's but there's a true gem inside that makes all the Homestyle Cooking With Love this gem, her name is Crystal and the waitress, i'm going to call Little M for Mighty and magnificent, provides exceptional service. Both the wife and I give Cajun Joe's five stars! We highly recommend the crawfish boudin balls. We've have boudin balls all across the country but none have been more moist and succulent with a crispy outside than these. A true boudin ball that is scrumptious to the taste. Be sure to get to Cajun Joe's. It will be well worth your trip.
Went in and ordered two cheeseburgers, cheese sticks and sodas to go. Got home to find the fries and cheese sticks were burnt. The fries had no potato left to eat! The meat patty on the burger was pressed so thin and hard. The patty was too small on the bun. I also don't believe there was any seasoning used at all. The fries and cheese sticks were too burnt to eat but I choked down half the burger cause, you know, cost $50. The staff was friendly.

Ordered chicken and dumplings, came out with -0- dumplings, not kidding... Husband ordered gumbo for over $15, came out 1/2 of a bowl mostly juice) that tasted bad... Ate for lunch while passing through. We got the Fried Crawfish Platter, Boudin Balls, Boiled Shrimp Platter, and Brownies. They lack servers, we were the only customers, and it was really quiet. Went in today Cajun Joe’s today and ate the most delicious new Burger they were offering! Jalapeño mushroom patty on a jalapeño cheddar bun with a special sauce! It was amazing! I dubbed it the Voodoo Burger!
