I needed to get a cake a for a friend's baby shower and discovered that Porto's is no longer offering custom cakes. This ended up being a huge gain for me because it led to me calling Cake Monkey Bakery in North Hollywood. I spoke with Danielle who was lovely and so helpful. They aren't currently taking custom orders but I was able to choose the color of frosting and Danielle recommended some local businesses that sell cake toppers. I ordered a 10 brown butter chocolate cake with mint green Tahitian buttercream frosting. The cake was multi layered and delicious and well below the price point I was expecting. I first tried some of their delicious treats a few years ago at a gluten-free event, so when I wanted to get some treats for my birthday, I decided to order from here. You can call and place an order for pickup at this place. Parking can be a bit challenging (don't park in the lot because they tow quickly), but it's worth it. I tried the birthday cake sandwich, the peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich, and the mogul (similar to a snowball). Everything was moist and delicious, even after a few days. I would definitely order from here again.

So this is the only cake shop I have ever received a cake box with a sticker that says they recommend eating the cake at room temperature My opinion of this is because they use very cheap butter for the frosting and if eaten cold this cake sucks. It 's ok at room temperature but much better options out there. 3/10Pop tart was excellent. 9/10Almond croissant 10/10

Everything I've tried didn't disappoint.I love their cookies. Only once I received baked goods that weren't fresh. If I order delivery in the future I'd call to ask about the freshness before placing the order. I'll be ordering again for sure.
