I have to say, this was the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant in a very long time. It was an hour wait for a table. It took another 30 mins for the waitress to bring us water. Mind you there was only 3 of us. We each ordered a burger, which took 1hr and 15mins to come out after asking the manager if he could check on our food. The waitress didn’t come back to the table until after the manager went back to check on the food and proceeded to tell me after an hour and 15 mins of waiting she was still waiting on 1 burger. In my opinion it is unacceptable to take that long for burgers. This was my first and my last time I will be at this establishment.
We were in town to drop my son off for college so we stopped here for dinner. The service was excellent and Summer did a great job. It was dark outside, so we couldn’t get a good view of the river. The atmosphere is really nice and there’s plenty of seating. The bread basket was good and it did not take long for us to receive our food. The food was OK, but not as good as I expected. The barbecue sauce was not good so I ate my barbecue without sauce. The chicken wings are pretty good. Overall, service was great, and the food was OK at best. There is a great view of the river if you go during the day and I think everyone should try at least once.
Great experience! Went with 7 friends. We called ahead to let them know we were coming, and they were quick to take our orders once we all arrived. Their salmon meal is absolutely amazing! A great crisp salmon with a perfect baked potato. 10/10 for friendly gatherings. Dietary restrictions: Very straight forward allergy notices with easy to find symbols on the menu Parking: Not the largest amount of spots, they are all angled which could be harder for new drivers to navigate Kid-friendliness: They offer coloring mats and crayons
Undoubtedly the worst meal I have ever had in Knoxville. 7pm out of ribs and out of pork at a bbq restaurant. BBQ chicken dry breast slathered in sauce. Did I say I had to wait 45 minutes for a table and the was told they were out of ribs and pork? The server was nice but new. The beer was good but overall experience was so NOT! Oh and I complained and they sent a letter that said sorry… that’s it sorry our restaurant sucked. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
BEST SERVER EVER! Biscuits...WOW! Pork chop, brisket, fish and chips, everything is on point. Love Calhoun's and very consistent from one location to another. Been to 4 so far. Favorite is Oak Ridge where you can watch rowing outside the big windows.
We had a fantastic meal with a beautiful view of the river. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was so relaxed. We will be going back on our next trip to Knoxville.
Loved how each Calhoun's is unique. This one has a brewery. The one in Gatlinburg has the biggest fried rainbow trout you'll ever have the pleasure of eating.
