After arriving late to the small town of Bayeux, we decided to walk to town near where our room was located. The first place we stumbled upon was Restaurant Campanile Bayeux. This is situated apart from the hotel of which it is part of and at first glance seemed rather empty. However once we entered it was decently full of other diners at this late hour (about 9:30 pm). The staff spoke enough English for us to get by. The restaurant serves buffet style for one flat price. You can also order off a menu. My wife and I stopped off here on our way to the car ferry at Oistreham for the overnight to Portsmouth; half hour drive after our dinner. Not great ambience but not expected in this this type of establishment but clean, easily accessible and friendly welcome. Standard Campanile format, starter buffet, choice of main, dessert buffet so anyone could tailor their meal to suit their appetite or preference. Stayed in 2016, just after the Tour de France passed through. Cannot recommend enough. Short walk into town, to the Cathedral, or to see the tapestry I used this location for my 3 Overlord tours that I went on. The food was also great at the Hotel I had to compliment the chef after having one of the best burgers, I've ever tasted!

clean, quiet and well located near a field, almost in the middle of nature. very welcoming, very friendly, smiling and ready to make the stay as pleasant as possible. restaurant room with human size, meals and breakfast quite correct. fully satisfied. I'll be there if I go back to bayeux.
Food was overall fine, although nothing to be excited about. Staff was friendly, but not very fast to react. Prices look to high for the level of quality they give. So overall average.

This hotel is ideally placed. The team was extraordinary with our group of 20 people and I highly recommend it to you.
