I visited the bistro at SCC with my lovely better half (LBH) for lunch last friday. We both ordered an oldy but goody, whole lemon sole with chips and salad. The bistro was filling up and the tables being cleaned promptly by the wait staff.
Our orders arrived and we went to the salad bar to choose from an extensive selection, of which I chose a potato salad, a green salad which included my favourite, peas!, a rice salad and some beetroot. There was a very good variety of condiments to chose from as well, tartare was my choice of course, as well as LBH's
The fish and chips arrived with indeed a whole sole, from top to toe,or little fish lips to the rudder thing at the back.

Becoming a regular here. The food is more than adequate, usually way too much though. Try the 'small appetites' menu for way better value and portion sizes - unfortunately a smaller choice of meals too. The fillet Mignon is excellent. As is the chicken schnitzel.
Like some other reviewers, we've found the salad to be a little bland. Having said that, we don't come to a place like this to eat salad.
The dessert bar is good too - a personal favourite is the chocolate mousse.
Being a member of the club also gets you discounted prices. This is particularly noticeable at the bar, given other venues charge like wounded bulls for beverages.
Oh, and try the self service ordering system - super ea...
My family and I have been coming to the Club in Woden for years. I think it's the best club out of all the clubs when it comes to going somewhere for a great meal at reasonable prices. Last Saturday night my family and I shared an evening meal with our friends that came to the Club for the first time. They were very impressed. The service is quick despite it being very busy and we really appreciated the new ordering system where the staff come to your table to take your orders. There are a variety of menu choices to please even the fussiest of eaters; like my kids; and the salad bar is abundant with fresh crispy salads and healthy scrumptious fruit and vegetables. Just had the most incredible fish meal at Snapper at Jamieson. Beautifully cooked battered fish and crumbed prawns with chips. Melt in the mouth and lovely and hot. Staff on duty just so lovely and friendly. Definitely a place to have a great feed.
Good quality club bistro meals at reasonable prices. Nearly always crowded, which is an indication of its popularity, but means it can be hard to get a table if you are a group unless you have reserved.

I ordered the magic mushroom burger at the Jamison club last night. It was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Absolutely delicious!!
