After living in Stamford for almost 8 years we decided to try Cantina Mexicana and have kicked ourselves in disbelief for not having tried it years ago. We’ve tried all the trendy Mexican places in town but never again. This is our place now. Authentic Mexican good, incredibly friendly service, happy surroundings—lovely but not too loud like most of them. The best and freshest guacamole anywhere. We go to Mexico every winter, so we know Mexican food, and this is as good as anyplace there.
I can’t believe we hadn't discovered this place before! We've tried several others in the area, and without a doubt, this one stands out as the best for traditional Mexican cuisine. The salsa is on the spicier side, so just a heads up, but overall, the food was excellent and the service was great. We'll definitely be returning!

Food and drinks were great! Service was kind of slow but it was a holiday so we understood. But it was definitely a lot of fun and worth it!
