We arrived at noon to purchase our food and it appeared as though it had been sitting out all night. I ordered the curry chicken with rice, cauliflower, and plantain, while my brother ordered the ruckhem with white rice and mixed vegetables. We also decided to try the mac and cheese and yams on the side. However, the mac and cheese had no cheese and tasted like hamburger helper, while the yams tasted like perfume. There was a lack of seasoning and flavor in the dishes, and the curry chicken was bland and not cooked with any authentic Caribbean spices. I used to really enjoy this place. It’s been over a year since my last visit. Had a taste for ox tail and decided to stop by.Big disappointment when I got home to eat. The ox tail taste as if there’s cinnamon on them. I’m assuming it’s All-Spice. Doesn’t taste good at all. I ended up reseasoning them with ox tail season and a little curry. Rice and peas are ok, definitely needs salt. Cabbage is just ok as well. Veggie patty isn’t too bad. Just hate that I spent $25 on this. Not sure if there’s a new cook or if the recipe has changed but I probably won’t be returning.Giving 3 stars because the staff is always really nice and friendly.
I had high hopes for this restaurant due to its location, but unfortunately, I will not be returning. The food was disappointing and the service was impatient. The beef tasted strange, like cinnamon and sugar, and the curry goat was the worst I have ever had. Additionally, for the price, the portion of rice was small. The presentation was good, but the food was not appetizing. Maybe the barbecue outside smelled better, but I will not be giving it another try. The meat was tender but lacked any flavor. Overall, a disappointing dining experience.

I had a taste for jerk and a friend of mine recommended this little hole in the wall. It has been long ago and needs some work. the chicken was just ok, spicy but I don't know how long it was cooked. eating is like a buffet and exposed, so there is not to say how long it was cooked before. the mac and cheese was tasteless and reis over boiled. I went on a Sunday night and it wasn't busy at all.
First time here on a Saturday for lunch. I ordered oxtail with Mac n cheese, collards, and sorrel juice. Everything was good but the collards we're not tender enough for my taste but still good, maybe because it was early lunch hours so they weren't soft yet. I will definitely come back.
The food is delicious. It doesn’t look very fancy, but the quality is good, and it’s pretty consistent. I love driving by and smelling the barbecue. My favorite is the patties, but the jerk chicken is good as well.
Dissatisfied with the oxtail that was covered in fat tasted like cinnamon/nutmeg. The rice also tasted like cinnamon/nutmeg. He did give me stew chicken as a replacement but the quality of the food was not good.
