My overall experience at this restaurant was terrible. The food was mediocre and overpriced, and the service was quite poor. Our waiter was very inattentive; we waited over an hour for our food. He didn’t inform us about additional hidden charges and was constantly trying to upsell us, which led us to say no multiple times just to end the conversation. After ordering drinks, we waited 30 to 40 minutes for them to arrive, despite the restaurant not being busy. To top it off, it took him an hour to bring us the bill after we requested it. For our main courses, we selected two veal dishes: the Veal Carino with mushrooms and artichoke hearts, and the classic Osso Bucco. Both were culinary masterpieces. As a wonderful surprise for my wife's birthday, they brought out fresh cream puffs drizzled with dark chocolate sauce. Of course, we had to savor cappuccino, Frangelico, and espresso with sambuca to round off our meal. This was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. When the bill arrived, I was charged $45 for the fish and $8.95 for a glass of house cabernet. After tax and an automatic 18% gratuity, the total came to $68.52, which was $28.52 after subtracting the $40 Groupon. Previously, the most I had paid for sea bass was $34, which added to my disappointment. I recommend that others using Groupon either choose items from the fixed-price menu or inquire about the prices of specials before mentioning the Groupon discount. I honestly felt taken advantage of, both in terms of pricing and by receiving a poor imitation of sea bass. As a local resident, I do not plan to return.
I recently dined at a Northern Italian restaurant near St. Pete Beach and had a delightful experience. The food and service were both excellent. I began with tortellini in brodo, which was delicious, followed by a fantastic Caesar salad topped with anchovies. For my main course, I enjoyed Snapper Livornese, lightly breaded and served in a flavorful sauce made with olives, capers, garlic, and a light tomato base. I also paired my meal with a half carafe of Montepulciano red wine, which was surprisingly good for a house wine. The service was outstanding, and I can't wait to return soon! Honestly some of the worst service we have ever received. Went here multiple times (3 in total) and kept getting worse each time. You know when you go somewhere and it isn’t the best experience but hey maybe its just a fluke. Well in the case of this place is most definitely is not. After 3 tries the family decided strike 3 you’re out. Honestly i cant even remember if the food was good or not, but who cares when the wait staff is going to treat their patrons that way. Oh well no worries we wont plan on coming back!
The food, ambiance, and service were exceptional. We organized a gathering for 17 people and indulged in appetizers, amazing cocktails, and wine, complemented by generous main courses that featured homemade bread and house salads. This place is a hidden gem that you absolutely shouldn’t overlook. There are also plenty of vegetarian options available, including gnocchi, eggplant, and various pasta dishes.
We had initially intended to visit another restaurant, but it was closed for two weeks due to a family vacation, so we chose this place instead as a backup. The food was decent, but not impressive enough to make me want to return. I'm looking forward to trying the other restaurant I visited in March instead.
