As a tourist, I have been extremely disappointed in the lame draft beer selection at most St. Pete Beach bars. Only a few draft beers and the same ones at almost every place. Category 36 was and is a refreshing find. 36 rotating beers on tap. An outstanding selection. Their menu has just as much selection as their taps. The food is very good and obviously prepared with pride. This place does not disappoint. I highly recommend it. Craig, the owner, is very like-able guy despite being a an Ohio State fan (don’t hold that against him. I’m a Michigan fan). This place is worth your time.
Today I had Craig’s pasta special and it was fantastic. Angel hair pasta with bacon, roasted mushrooms and red onions, with garlic and olive oil. I requested tomatoes and spinach also. Only had good food from them! Homemade dough for their pizza and Stromboli’s. The Youngstown salad is another must try! The new owners are Ted and Craig, they’re absolutely fantastic with great humor and hospitality. Tom was the bartender and super sweet and attentive. They also have a great variety of craft beers! Check them out!
Can't believe it took us 2 years to stop in! I did not know they had food and we were pleasantly surprised! They make their dough, sauces/dips/dressings in house, and home made chips! Was thrilled to see an outstanding selection of draft beer including our favorite Unsteady Fready from Gulfport Brewery and Eatery! Food was fresh and delicious Craig, Kyle, and Thomas were all very hospitable, knowledgeable, and friendly! We will be back, weekly I'm sure!
Loved this place. Owner was awesome, very nice to my Wife and myself. Being from Ohio and seeing all the Ohio State memorabilia was fantastic. The Food was amazing. They make their own bread and it shows. We ordered two sandwiches (Buffalo chicken and Italian) to share, but could only eat one (size). Husband and I just tried this place out today for the first time. They have a wonderful selection of craft beer but also have beer for those who aren’t into craft. It has the local vibe and amazing brews and food. Pizza, Italian fries, and salad all excellent. The owner and bartender both are super nice and the service was excellent! Can’t say enough good things about this place. You will not be disappointed!

This charming local tap house in my neighborhood offers an impressive food menu. The bartender, Paige, is incredibly welcoming, making you feel more like a guest than just another customer. The patrons here are very friendly as well. I met some locals, had a fantastic time, and I will definitely be back!
