During a recent chat with a local bartender about nearby dining options, he highly recommended the pizza and wings at Category 36. Although I visit the area several times a month, I had no idea that Category 36 was so close to our hotel until this trip. Taking the bartender’s advice, we decided to stop by for dinner, and it was a delightful surprise! Category 36 is truly a hidden gem. We decided to try the Stromboli, and as everyone had mentioned, it did not disappoint. Everything we observed looked wonderful—the pizza, chicken fingers for the kids, and the wide variety of craft beers for the adults. Overall, the atmosphere was inviting, with delicious food and drinks, and Courtney at the bar was particularly warm and friendly. The owners were present as well, and they were very approachable. This place is truly a hidden gem in St. Pete Beach. Treat yourself and your family by visiting Category 36—you’re sure to have a fantastic experience!
I only sampled the beers from their impressive craft tap selection, but I can't wait to try their food soon. I've heard wonderful things about the Korean wings and Gyros, which are said to be both authentic and delicious. Update on 8/13/2022: I went back to enjoy both food and beer. The Stromboli was absolutely fantastic! The pizzas looked tempting (though I didn't get a chance to taste one), and the wings looked really appealing. The restaurant is under new ownership, and they are doing an excellent job! I'll definitely return!
I found this restaurant during my vacation, and I was very pleasantly surprised. The pizza was delicious, the hot chips were crispy, and the stromboli was fantastic. The service was excellent too. I will definitely be back. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as a perfect 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the gyro, stromboli, and hot chips! If there were a sixth star, they would definitely deserve it. The food, drinks, and service are all in a league of their own—it's a must-try for everyone. The restaurant is small, which means it doesn't get overly crowded, making it easy to get the attention of the waitstaff.
