To put is simply, this restaurant is utterly phenomenal. This is the best service I’ve probably ever received at a restaurant. The waiter, Anthony, was extremely accommodating and present to ensure a spectacular dining experience. But the food….WOW! It was abundantly clear that there was so much care put into crafting our dishes. I got the Bolognese and it was incredible! Homemade pasta, and delicious Short rip gravy. I also recommend the crazy Alfredo (personal favorite). Please go to this restaurant if you want one of the best dining experiences in the north end (just make sure you book way in advance because they are quite popular)!
I have visited Carmelinas three times now and each time I have been extremely impressed by the food. The portions are generous and the dishes are truly authentic Italian. You can taste the homemade pasta, which is a must for any restaurant in Little Italy. My favorite dish is the bolognese; it is hearty, delicious, and full of flavor. The waitstaff have always been very kind to my family and me during our visits. While getting a reservation may be challenging due to high demand and limited seating, it is definitely worth the effort.
Great italian food, gorgonzola pasta is out of this world! Also tried mushroom pasta, was good, but not as good as gorgonzola. Tried garlic shrimp starter, very tasty. Bread was very tasty too, and good cocktails. The only issue was that the place is small and it's not that easy to get it. It was fully booked, but they suggested to leave a number in case someone cancels, which happens, and they called in ~20 minutes.
I feel fortunate that we were able to get a table without making reservations, after reading posts and reviews. After a long flight back from Florida, the Italian cuisine at this restaurant was just what we needed. From out of town, ate here based on reviews. I was not disappointed. One of the best meals I’ve had in awhile. If there is any ding to the establishment, the carbonara was a bit salty. Enjoy!
This place was fantastic. Everything perfectly cooked. Could of used a refill on bread (only two pieces for two people). Would give 4.5 stars. Definitely get the brasato.

The best shrimp scampi I’ve ever had. The mussels fra diavolo was also good. Would recommend reservations as it’s very busy, even at lunch. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The exploding little neck clams were spectacular. The Sunday Macaroni was very good, felt very homey. But nothing can match the clams!
