Good quality tapas, a restaurant with one of the best displays of tapas in town. However, we were used to tapas Seville style where the food is ordered from a menu. This evening was a crash course for us, trying to encourage teenage boys to sample tasty snacks neither they nor we as their parents could identify. The tapas we had were very tasty, though our sons stuck resolutely to just ham in rolls. As mentioned many times elsewhere, each mushroom is a juicy garlic infused feast, but do not order a 'raciones ' of mushrooms as you 'll get a large plate of them, too many for two people. This like many of bars in Castro Urdiales is perhaps best for drinking wine or beer accompanied by the testy...
As you might expect from the name, this bar features mushrooms cooked delectably with garlic, and lots of them. The other dishes we tasted were excellent too especially the langoustines) and the prices were really good, not only for the food but also for beer and wine €1.50 a glass and good). Probably the best value we came across, the raciones are either €5 or €6.80. The place was full of locals either having a drink and a pintxo or digging in to a few raciones like us. Typical rough and ready style as you would expect from a tapas bar.
Parada imprescindible en Castro Urdiales. Cabe destacar tanto la comida, la mejor paletilla ibérica, vieira de bogavante y pulpo que hemos probado en una larga ruta. Es un sitio estupendo con un ambiente muy acogedor, un bar muy limpio con un servicio excepcional. Repetiré sin ninguna duda, INCREÍBLE!
We ordered the gratined scallop, it was squisite. shampooes with very good paint too. Joto in front is a position of percebes, oysters, necorates. which is called the percebe boy you can consume things from the position at the tables of this bar if you order consumption. So the combo is very good

Estupendos pinchos y raciones (sobre todo los champiñones). Muy buen ambiente y excelente trato por parte del personal. Muy buena relación calidad/precio.
Qué buenos los champis.. ! De los mejores que he comido. Y el que los hace, super majo.. Ya se dónde volver cuando venga a Castro.
