I can definitely go on and on about all the aspects of what makes Casa Madruga a MUST go and eat there place. I cannot just call it a restaurant because it exceeds the restaurant experience. Eating there is an amalgamation of all the senses It provides home cooked meals that bring about high quality traditional Portuguese cuisine along with modern options for vegans and vegetarians. Thet also provide high end wines and other beverages. You get to experience the results of a dedicated family team that cares about delivering high standards. Cosy restaurant near the beach with more vegan options than non-veggie restaurants usually have. The staff has our request to change some ingredients in the burgers, and they were pretty good! They also make veggie versions of some Portuguese traditional meals, so I definitely recommend! The house made cakes, although they are not vegan, are really good!!
I had Fish and Chips here today and it was fantastic. The portions were very generous and the quality was excellent. Both the fish and chips and the glass of wine were very reasonably priced. The owner spoke excellent English and she was extremely pleasant as well. It’s worth a visit !!
We enjoyed some freshly made hummus as a starter who was beautiful. As main there were 2 options from Tofu 'burger ' (a few slices of Tofu) or a Picky plate. The burger was great, but we were glad to be able to eat in an area that 't had no options otherwise. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We had several great meals in madruga on our trip to Foz. The fish and chips are fantastic, huge fish!!! The mixed tapas boards are really delicious and very well priced . Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Really enjoyed our meals here.
