I took my dad to Cashleys for his birthday. The high tea was fantastic; all four of us were completely satisfied with our cakes, each trying something different. We all enjoyed our meals, whether it was the Sunday roast, steak pie, fish and chips, or mac and cheese with bacon. My sister and I had been there a few weeks prior and had a great experience as well. When we went around 7:30 for dinner, the staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. My sister loved the appetizer, and we both enjoyed the burgers. I also had a dessert that was delicious. I would highly recommend Cashleys to anyone looking for a great meal.
Visited Forfar to meet friends, booked online as Reveiws seemed ok for Cashleys! What a Big Mistake! waitress service was pleasant, but thats where it ends! Starters were passable, but Main Courses were a disaster! Sorry Do Not Eat at Cashleys(now 1871, Forfar Golf Clubhouse) I was a Junior Member of Club in late 1980's, think Clubhouse is same decor! If your hungry go somewhere else!
The dining experience was exceptional with only two chefs in the kitchen and one server. Kudos to them for their hard work and providing the best food and service. Despite being busy, there was still attention to detail and nothing was too much to ask for. This was my first time dining here for dinner, but after last night, I will definitely be back.
great food. this team has made incredible meals. all in a very small intimate kitchen that is open and on full display. keeping the level of efficiency and professionalism while serving a complete restaurant is a performance each team should be proud that can get this place enough back.

This cafe is incredible. The interior is beautiful and the food is fantastic. The variety of dishes they offer is wonderful and everything we tried was delicious, freshly made, and tasted amazing. I can't say enough good things about this cafe. I'm already looking forward to going back.
I have been to this restaurant a few times and it is always clean with friendly staff. However, the food was not to my liking. The fries were too thick, the gyoza was greasy, and the sausages were overcooked. The loaded fries were also too greasy for my taste.
Great service and wonderful coffee and cake unfortunately didn't have time for lunch but the food being served looked really delicious. Next time I'm in Forfar will have lunch there. Want to go some place for lunch dinner go to Cashleys 5 star.
The high tea menu at this restaurant is simple, but the food is delicious and beautifully presented. The service is excellent – friendly and accommodating, especially towards our children. I would definitely recommend this place.

I received a text in the morning of our reservation stating that the restaurant would be closed tonight. It was difficult to find an alternative at this time of year with short notice. I was very disappointed.
The food was excellent and the service was great. The desserts were exceptional.
