Whenever our car needs servicing, we make the trip from Dundee to our local Kia dealer in Forfar. One of the benefits of this journey is the opportunity to explore different dining options while we wait for our car. On arrival at The Castle Club we were met by a member of staff who showed us to our table which had been pre-booked. He immediately asked us if we would like drinks and took the order which was served very promptly. He then gave us the menu and advised us of the day's specials. We were given ample time to peruse the menu and make our choices. We chose the following- Steak Pie with Chips, Mini Grill with Roast Potatoes, Silverside with Chips and 2 Chicken Specials with Roast Potatoes. Our friends and us decided to meet at the Castle Club for lunch. We had reserved a table and were greeted on arrival and shown to our table by a very friendly member of staff. We were given the menus and were told what the day's specials were. It was then very difficult to decide what to have. We were given ample time to chose and finally decided on Small Grill for the men and the 2 ladies chose the Silverside all accompanied by Chips or Roast Potatoes. We recently visited Forfar for the first time and tried out this charming restaurant for the first time. We had a delightful high tea at a very affordable price. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious, with most items being homemade. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We went for lunch and had a delicious homemade steak pie with all the trimmings. My friend ordered homemade chicken noodle soup and a cheese and ham toastie, followed by coffee. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service and atmosphere were great. We definitely plan on returning.
What find, we went there with our Scottish friends and were very impressed. Friendly welcome and excellent service. The food was fantastic, good size portions and well cooked. Go easy on the mains as if you have the high tea the cakes and scones are delicious. Highly recommended.

Lovely place we as a family have been a few times and food is amazing every time , staff are very welcoming and polite always helpful. Beautiful little place can’t wait for next visit .

Had a lovely meal at the castle club. Only fault was it was a wee bit expensive for the portion size but very tasty. No vegan or vegetarian options.
