We came out specifically for the poutine and weren't disappointed. I am no connoisseur but the gravy wasn't heavy, cheese tasted fresh and fries were tasty. They have mostly burgers, fries and sandwiches, etc. so come ready for some greasy food. Small, hole in the wall, and the cook was great to chat with! Make this part of your walk through St. Roch.
We tried a couple of Poutine while in Quebec, and this was the best , we spoilt ourselves and had poutine with the lot , onion bacon sausage and steak , sooo good , small take away shop don't be frightened off by the small shop , what's cooked inside is mouth watering
Saw all of the fabulous reviews and wanted to eat some cheap "local" food. Stopped in and ate the hot dog and mini poutine. My husband had the cheese burger and frites. All was very good! The cook didn't speak much English, but we made it through! ;)
This was an amazing find! I'm so happy I searched for the top 10 best poutine in Quebec because this dish was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be coming back on my next trip, but next time I'll make sure to order a larger portion. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Great homemade fries, diverse menu, simple but delicious. The names of the poutines and hamburgers always make me laugh, and every time I go, no matter who serves me, the staff is always friendly, attentive to our needs, and efficient.
We had a great meal! The poutines are amazing! Also, we were warmly welcomed (even though we arrived a bit late, the chef was always smiling!) Keep it up! This is a must-visit spot when you're in Quebec!
When I visited Quebec City, I decided I'd have poutine for every meal. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. I ate at a whack load of places and Chez Gaston was the best, HANDS DOWN.
