Sadly we waited over 25 minutes for our arrival drinks despite regularly reminding the waiting staff. The arincini starter was very nice however the squid was tough and literally flew off the plate when trying to cut it! We chose simple main dishes (vegetarian pasta and carbonara) the portion size was good but the vegetarian dish lacked depth of flavour and seasoning. As such, a lot of the meal was left. When asked for our opinion on the meal, I was honest and said it was just Ok, which was met with an eye roll and sarcasm that I had chosen a basic meal! Lovely little Italian restaurant in Surbiton. Despite arriving early to try and get a table, the place has a really good vibe and not to mention good food. (Place was fully booked but accepted walk in entries if there was last minute availability) Menu consists of starters, pizza choices, pasta dishes, specials and desserts. There are gluten free pasta and pizza base available, these are not made on the premises and is made by a separate company. There is a small additional charge for this. As always, superb. I ordinarily tell people it's the best pizza in the area if not London. Great value for the quality you get. Being in the industry myself, its hard to get time off to be cooked for rather than cooking for others, and this is my favourite spot. Relaxed, great value, quality pizza, good service, friendly FOH and its always nice to chat with the Chef in between making pizzas! Will be back sooner rather than later. Max
great place, initially booked in the interiors, but got an outside offered. beautiful bottle white, calfs octopus star, 2 pizzas that were crazy, the crust was delicious. finally the tiramisu, the one of the best I had. The service was great, but I did not enjoy the pizza. The cheese was undercooked and the dough was hard. The music playing was very loud, making it difficult to have a conversation. I will not be returning or recommending this restaurant.
good food, good service and very pleasant environment. the menu is unusual and limited, but the quality of the food is excellent. it even overcrowded the week. we had a wonderful time and will definitely see again.
