We made a reservation in advance for Father's Day breakfast at 10am. Unfortunately, we were stuck in traffic for 20 minutes, so my son went ahead to make sure we didn't lose our table. A very good spot to take a break after walking around Araluen Botanic Garden. The place is well kept, need to find a table first then go up to the counter to order. There're both indoor and outdoor sittings suitable for kids, adults, small or big groups. Prices on food are reasonable and the view to the garden is just superb. It's convenient for a place to take a break after exploring the garden and have a cup of coffee and cake or muffin before resuming our walk again.
we came to a light lunch at 11 o'clock, found a table on veranda and in the sun, checked the menu and stood in the line to order. they were short, so our hamburger and coffee took a one-sided, but that was understandable. we usually don't buy hamburger, but this was excellent. Waygu-Patty in a Brioche beer, various vegetables on the patty, soft cheese and a serving of more ordinary chips. they serve only breakfast and lunch.
I took my elderly parents to the tulip festival and we were amazed by the beautiful explosion of colors. We were expecting a simple and inexpensive lunch, but were pleasantly surprised by the food at Chalet Healy. The staff were young and vibrant, the food was delicious, my parents especially enjoyed the potato and leek soup, and I loved the octopus with green papaya salad.
