Charcoal Chef is a bracket in Woodbury, Connecticut. It didn't happen. It's not pretentious. It's not elegant. It's inviting. It's cozy. It's land. It's predictable. The menu has not changed much over the years, but they have daily specialties that vary from day to day. You have an extensive drink menu. Their cocktails are strong and affordable. The last time I left, I ordered an older Gin Fizz who was very refreshing. I usually order the NY Strip Steak, but this last time I decided to order something else, the Boneless Chicken; it was well cooked and slightly covered in BBQ sauce. Delicious, classic menu. Cosy restaurant with friendly staff. I took my Gf here. She lived a long life of eating chicken hearts, chicken feet and gizzards, and now I want her to enjoy the finer things in life. Today she learned what a maishase is and she enjoyed it with ketchup. Charcoal Koch makes one of the best Shirley temples, baked potatoes and more. This place is a time capsule and I can't wait to go back. If someone knows how to buy the Dracula mansion house on the street, let me know.

The first time here. I met a friend who lives in Woodbury and recommended it. I'm definitely back. The waitress was efficient and friendly, the food was good and the prices were reasonable.
