They opened just before Covid so may not be as well known and they are excellent! After dining at numerous Thai restaurants in Berkeley and Oakland, Charm has quickly become my favorite spot within the past year. The khao soi, duck noodle soup, and seafood pumpkin curry are just a few of the dishes I love, but everything I have tried here has been exceptional. The service is top-notch, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. Additionally, there are plenty of vegetarian options that my girlfriend enjoys. If you're in the area, I highly recommend giving Charm a try. The vegetarian menu is a hit with my girlfriend, who appreciates the option of tofu substitutions for dishes that may not be labeled as vegetarian.
This restaurant is truly amazing. Charm is a fantastic dining spot located on Piedmont. The service is friendly and knowledgeable, and the menu offers a wide variety of authentic dishes. The specials, like the lamb with saffron rice, were particularly delicious. I loved my vegetarian pad thai. The interior was charming, with cute table arrangements and beautiful marble countertops. The decor on the walls perfectly complemented the Thai cuisine. I will definitely be returning in the future. For vegetarians, there is a separate menu available, and standard dishes like pad Thai can be modified to be vegetarian as well.
When I called to place an order the lady rush me off the phone when I was not finish placing an order. This is my first time here , as I order Pad thai with shrimp and Tufu. Yet there was only 2 pcs of each . Never hard this kind of Pad Thai . Also the lady charged me for Rice $4 yet I was about to walk out the door I looked in the bag missing rice ... I understand things happen but too many issues the first and last time. NO THAnks I rather go to Thai Taste Kitchen

We sort of picked Charm at random after deciding against a well known upscale place top of Piedmont ave. due to its extremely noisy patrons and strange bench seats, my 5'6 girlfriend's feet dangled a few inches off the ground...We absolutely loved Charm's seafood pumpkin curry, which was excellent, just the right amount of heat. The pad thai was delicious and their seafood was perfectly done, very tender. Nice service....Will definitely return....
One of the best Thai restaurants in Oakland. Authentic and well balanced flavors. They include many Thai ingredients and techniques that most restaurants skip.. Thai brown rice so good Ive started making that brand at home. Excellent curries. Divine mango sticky rice. So delicious.
I feel so lucky that Charm is our neighborhood restaurant. Their food is outstanding, fresh and flavorful. They're always friendly and helpful when I come in, either to eat their or pick up an order. They are my go-to for Thai food every time.
The Pad See Ew was quite tasty and authentic, and the Larb was also delicious. The quality of the food was good and priced slightly above average. The location of the restaurant was also convenient.

The curry puffs and pad see ew were delicious. The delivery was prompt. My only complaint is that I found the butter chicken a bit bland. However, I will definitely be ordering from here again.
