When Yelp let me know via email that Kailua-Kona had a new Tapas bar, I was super excited to give it a try, based on my Spanish Tapas experience in Washington DC.Two of us went for an early dinner. The restaurant was nearly empty (one other table was seated), and we were seated promptly. The orange curtains give the photos and table an interesting white balance (orange hue). I had the crab salad slider, which I loved. I also had some spicy chicken, but didn 't care for the sauce. Food was amazing!!! Many little plates, big enough to share, very varied with something for everyone. This chef knows his stuff! We started off with the Billionaire Bacon. Juicy, salty and sweet. So good that all i could say was mmmmm. The Sexy Steak was melt in your mouth with a to-die-for demi. I dont know what made those Yukon Golds so good but i couldnt stop popping them in my mouth. Lots of variety with the drink menu, again, something for everyone. Cant wait to come back to try the dishes we missed!
This place was fantastic! The food and service were excellent. Our server was incredibly helpful with the menu and drinks. It's an underrated gem. Definitely check it out if you have the opportunity. We had charcuterie, fish slider potatoes, and lettuce wraps, along with two drinks, and everything was delicious. The standout for me was the dressing mixed with the lettuce wraps—it was amazing!
Wow! What an amazing upscale restaurant and bar! They serve the best margaritas and whiskey drinks on the island. The tacos are fantastic, especially with the mole sauce. Love the vibe here! Our server Nana was as the best!! She offered recommendations on drinks and the tapas. We ended up getting the sexy steak, just the tip Yukon golds. So good! Would definitely return for the ambiance, service the menu!
CLOSED! I had heard that they were shutting down, and when I called, I received an automated message stating that the mailbox was unavailable.
The outside is unassuming but the inside is a comfortable lounge. The drinks were made well and the food was excellent. I loved the poutine.

Such a great vibe here! Their apps are amazing and the drinks are delish!! It was the icing on the cake during our trip here to Kona
Great place to meet up with friends and enjoy a glass of wine, or beer and delicious tapas. I highly recommend Cheers Tapas Bar
