Chef Tong Seafood Restaurant is located on No. 3 Rd Richmond. It has been popular for a while. The same as many other Chinese restaurants in Richmond. This restaurant opens twice per day and between 3 pm – 5 pm the restaurant closes. It serves Dim Sum in the morning and seafood in the afternoon. We were looking for best dimsum restaurant in Richmond Vancouver & found Chef Tony after an intense google search. Many people said in their reviews it has the best dimsum in Richmond so we were all excited & thought that must be it.We then tried 8 dishes, & nothing but disappointment!!! Not single one dish was up to par! For example, like shrimp rice roll, a decent good one normally will have nice big shrimp with snowpea leaves & the rice noodle will be very thin & melting in your mouth. But for Chef Tony's - medium size shrimps & taste mediocre & no vegetables in it. Not worth to mention the rice noodle! Mushrooms dumplings also has no mixed vegetables. I came for dim sum with my family during covid and felt pretty safe with their protocols. We ordered most of their signature dishes truffle chicken, truffle siu mai, the salted egg yolk buns and some classic dishes like the shrimp rice rolls, ha gao, etc.<br/ <br/ The truffle chicken was very interesting and the truffle flavour is strong so if you like truffle, you should try it! Needless to say, I think they use more truffle oil than actual truffle.<br/ <br/ Prices are higher than your average dim sum place but everything was above average. I recommend coming here to try some innovative fusion dishes instead of ordering the basics/classics that you can get at any other dim sum restaurant.<b...

The dim sum at Chef Tony was fantastic. All the dishes tasted deserved a round of applause for the creativity. While some of the dishes are elevated in taste or presentation, I really hope they could have kept some of the old traditions, such as the old-school bamboo steamers. It is great to see Cantonese cuisine flourish in China with such greatly improved quality. And I’m glad this phenomenon is being reflected in Greater Vancouver. After all, here we have the best Cantonese food outside of Asia. For people who have only tried old school Hong Kong-style dim sum, it’s worth checking out the innovated dishes at Chef Tony. Chef Tony is one of the best dim sum places in Richmond. Plenty dishes to select from in which some of them are quite unique compared to typical dim sum restaurant. <br/ <br/ The portions are standard, but the flavours are there! Love their food that’s for sure.<br/ <br/ The place is quite famous and was often visited by famous singers and stars from Asia. Attentive service by friendly servers.<br/ <br/ Highly recommended!

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Chef Tony for a family dinner so I figured that it would warrant another post. The last few times we came here we were super hungry at the beginning because the service took so long to start! One time it took us FOUR HOURS from start to finish which was completely absurd!

This restaurant serves amazing Dimsum. The place was jam packed and we went at 2pm and it closes at 3pm. A must for Dimsum lovers. The only downer was service. Service was very slow and took them a long time to check in on the table.

Delicious dinner. Most dishes were great, but the deep fried oysters and the stir fried milk seems a bit too oily. However the restaurant is definitely overpriced. They charged $90 for a big bowl of duck soup. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Great dishes!!!! Get there early.. small place and fills up fast!!love their cold chicken with truffle and spring onions. So much variety and picture tablet menu so easy to choose!!

Friend recommended this place on number 3 road in empire centre. Park in parkade towards back. Everything good! Black bun with egg yolk. Rice rolls and dumpling
