The food here is always good. Taking two stars off for my recent service here though. Our server was not attentive at all. I asked for a high chair for my son, 20 minutes later our server still didn’t bring it. I had to get it myself. We had a to-go order and usually this means that the food is being prepared near the end of our meal, that did not happen. We had to wait an extra 30 minutes for that. On top of our order taking longer to make it to our table. We tried to get his attention for the check, he looked right past us. My husband had to walk up to him to request it. I don’t like when places add a mandatory 20% tip (on all orders, there were only 4 of us) because some servers don’t fee...
Just left the restaurant. I had high hopes after hearing great reviews. Unfortunately won’t return after eating the Benedict. Poached eggs were undercooked. Simply meaning the egg was not left in boiling water long enough-egg white completely runny/watery inside. Overall, with no other customers in restaurant the meal came out lukewarm which means everything but the eggs are ready to be served. Sad since this is their special. Server does not ask how meal was nor the owner who is within 6 feet of where we are sitting.
We went there for a branch burger a few times because we liked it. This time we decided to eat at home so I ordered take out. When we opened our order we were shocked: home fries (signature) were cold and looked like charcoal, eggs usually served sunny side up were a piece of very dry yellowish substance, one of the bans was sweetened. When I picked up the order I did not see the chef Vargas in the kitchen, there was a female cook.
This was so amazing! Everyone was so friendly and personable and the food was AMAZING!!! I had the berry lemonade (seasonal) which was so refreshing and the Nutella stuffed French toast which made me feel like I was in heaven! Our waitress Destiny was so kind and helpful too! I've been coming here regularly for well over a year now and it's consistently great! My only critique is I wish their home fries potatoes were as good as all their other amazing foods. Cash only. Tip is automatically included which takes the stress out of thinking about it at the end. I like the whole system.
Truly a hidden gem where has this place been all my life…. I had the French toast with the berry compote etc it was out of this world…I will be returning and customer service was great!
Cute little spot in the cut! Delicious food and great service! They have some gluten free options. The Chicken Birria were soooo good! Must try place!

Serious hidden gem in Elkins Park. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch and can't wait to return.
