I 'm addicted to this bakery 's home made granola bars! Thick, crunchy, sweet and a bit gooey, what 's not to love, especially when I get an 'edge ' piece. I also indulge in their macaroons, delicious, and their sausage rolls, which are excellent. I tried some of their egg rolls, which we really liked, and a different type of sausage roll, not sure if it was Thai, it was very good too. Only complaint is that they are so popular they run out of things before I get there. I do appreciate that they only make enough to last for a day or two so their stuff is always fresh. Have been treating myself to the occasional doughnut, which are wonderful and always fresh because they always sell out. Also...
Popped in here recently and immediately knew it was something special and put the biggest smile on my face. It was hard to pick just one item, so we walked out with 1/2 dozen donuts, a snail, strawberry turnover and a pizza pretzel. Everything was amazing. The donuts were so fluffy and fresh, the snail was flakey, turnover still so good the next morning and my daughter enjoyed the pretzel. It's one of those places that was nostalgic for me, not overly fancy and no pretentious sounding items, just classic baked goods and at such an affordable price. It is a must visit as I don't think you can go wrong with any of their delicious treats!!
my partner ordered a donut and said it was the best he ever had. I had the apfelstrudel and it was amazing. my sister ordered a buttercake and said it was amazing. we also bought cake and bread. everything. was delicious. this place uses real ingredients, with old school baking methods, and it shows in quality. I can never be happy, made with bought factory strudel again.
in the interior of the old town bank building, still with the old walkable vault, turned into an exclusive dining room for small parties! great use of the space and great selection of tasty meals! suppen sandwiches to die for lunch. a must stop when you're going through chemainus!
Can’t possibly go up or down the island without a stop at this bakery. Delicious pastries at very reasonable prices. The apple fritters are definitely the best on the island…often still warm from the oven!
it depends on cornish pastie donut. large bakery to have light lunch items (meat cakes such). they also sell various broth varieties. we're gonna be through next time!
The best Bavarian creme donut ive ever eaten!! Great service and selection of pastries, breads and sweets. And its so so cheap!! Visiting Chemainus Bakery is a must!!
Everything is amazing here. The egg rolls are particularly good as is the coffee cake. Make sure to get here early as if all goes quick
Tasty treats and the chicken pie was very good! Not salty, perfect consistency. Almond tarts are great. Try the chocolate mice.
