I just moved in the area and I've ordered here twice. The 1st time was okay service but I felt rushed out the door. But the 2nd time was today 10/04/2023. Chengdu Taste has become our go to restaurant in the International District. The cooks are from Sichuan and cook authentic Chinese style not the Americanized version. This means the food is spicy, but in a very good way! You will need some tissues because your nose will run, but you 'll be smiling through every bite. I've been wanting to try this place since it opened, and I finally had the chance to go. The service was excellent, and the venue was clean and spacious. Once seated, you need to scan a QR code to view the menu and place your order online. The Spicy Popcorn Shrimp was amazing; it had a nice kick, so if you're not a fan of spicy food, you might want to skip it. However, if you do enjoy a bit of heat, you'll love it. The Tantan Noodles were just okay for me; they were quite sweet, and I was hoping for a stronger peanut sauce flavor. The prices were a bit on the high side, but the portion sizes were generous. The food is absolutely spectacular! We were seated immediately since we went on a weekday night. The menu is online so we were able to place our orders right from the website and check out as well. If you can handle the spice, this place is for you! The fried pork intestines were absolutely delicious, as well as the mung bean noodles. There’s definitely a master chef in the kitchen! They have a convenient phone ordering system, and I noticed an audible ring in the kitchen when I placed my order. My meal—rice plus three dishes—was ready in just five minutes, and everything was piping hot. The staff were quick and agile, and the food was outstanding. I particularly enjoyed the cumin lamb, pork kidney, and eggplant. They even packed up my leftovers nicely for me to take home!
Our go-to place for authentic Szechuan cuisine. One of the best in N America and not your Americanized Szechuan at all. You’ll find some authentic dishes you don’t normally find in an average Szechuan restaurant such as 钵钵鸡 (cold skewers in chili oils) or toothpick lamb. Highly recommend if you like the spicy and numbing tastes of Szechuan food!
This is my favorite chengdu place in Seattle. The crispy fish and eggplant dishes are amazing!! The boiled fish and popcorn chicken are okay but not my favorite. Food always comes out pipping hot and fast!

Sooooo good! Got the spicey crispy fish, wonton in chili oil and the shrimp w egg. Superb Szechuan cuisine. There are so many more things on the menu that I want to try!
Easily one of the best restaurants in The CID. The lamb skewers were the highlight of the meal. The puff rice pale ale was delicious. I can’t wait to go back.
