Fantastic flavor. Tried the dumplings that have a great crunch on the outside and delicious flavor on the inside. Also tried the red hot spicy drumsticks that the server mentioned was the hottest they have and asked if that was ok. They weren't overly spicy, but had a decent kick that builds over time. A nice sweetness is the first flavor to hit your tongue followed by the spice kick. Outstanding flavor and crunch. The meat was perfectly juicy on the inside. I haven’t had CM chicken in a long time and noticed they had a dinner combo plate. I asked how many pieces of the whole dinner chicken and the lady said 4 whole pieces. Got my order and it was a thigh cut in half and a quarter chunk of breast with an overly fried chicken wing. I’m looking at another reviewer dinner plate and it looks nothing alike. Generous portion of coleslaw and rice but the chicken pieces were despicable. Not going to go back to the ashburn location. For $16 this was not worth it, they must give good portions to their friends only.
We really enjoyed our take out from Choong Man. The chicken was delicious, juicy, crunchy, and spicy (just right). We got regular and red, which was fairly spicy. The big surprise were the breaded shrimp. Wow! The taste was so fresh and flavorful.Some of the best fried shrimp that I've ever had. The restaurant atmosphere was pleasant while we waited for our food to becooked and the staff was genuinely friendly. I enjoyed ordering on the touchscreen because I know my order was recordedproperly. I'll be back and I'll come hungry!
First (and probably last) time ordering this past weekend. I was expecting a great taste with the regular soy garlic, as we are big BonChon fans, but unfortunately this was just too spicy not enjoyable. There was zero hint of soy at all and there was no flavor; just this overpowering kick of spiciness.My husband got the dinner combo (hence the third star loved that they offered this) which had 5 tenders, coleslaw, fries and 2 fried dumplings. He got spicy garlic and loved it.

Very good if you like spicy food. I was hoping for non-spicy fried chicken for half of our family, and spicy for the other half. My husband loved everything and my one son enjoyed the spice too. However, it was a bit too much for me and my other son though.We kept eating because it was so good, but I personally do not enjoy that spicy feeling/taste. Most people do though. Goodportions and size of popcorn shrimp and calamari. Very friendly atmosphere and staff.
This restaurant is truly a gem in Northern Virginia, tucked away in the busy Ashburn plaza. From the moment you step inside, it feels like you've walked into the world of a K-drama. The ambiance is fantastic, and both the service and food are top-notch. The fried chicken is incredibly crispy and juicy, and don’t miss out on their great selection of draft beers! I had a fantastic meal featuring delicious chicken with garlic soy and snow onion, along with coleslaw and curly fries. The coating on the chicken was just right—crispy but not overly heavy. The flavor was great, offering a hint of spice without being overwhelming for my sensitive palate. I highly recommend this place over the larger chain restaurants! Food: 5/5
The fried chicken we had was outstanding—definitely the best we've ever tasted. Unfortunately, we ended up feeling ill the next day. Luckily, we had sick days available, which gave us a chance to reflect on our dining experiences in the area. Good quality and quantity of food, if on the pricy side.Overall be careful on the spice, I had the spicy garlic soy chicken and it was at least a bit past Sriracha Levels of spice and that was only 1 pepper on their menu.Food: 4/5
