I would like to suggest that Chez Ashton offer vegetarian options for their famous poutine. I was taken aback to discover that they only have one type of gravy, which is made from pork. Unfortunately, we found this out while placing our order, leading us to cancel and leave the restaurant. It would be great if they could provide a vegetarian gravy option for those who don't consume pork or pork-based products. On a positive note, the woman at the register was polite and honest, and we were able to converse in English, which was a relief, as we had faced language barriers at a few other restaurants. We were visiting Quebec City from Toronto and had heard about Chez Ashton from a friend.
I was recommended to try this original poutine spot, and it truly was a delight. Poutine has quickly become one of my favorites, and this place certainly lived up to the hype. The gravy was creamy and served hot, while the cheese curds were soft and warm. The fries were perfectly crispy, not soggy at all. Overall, this is definitely one of the best poutines I’ve ever had.
The classic in Quebec as for as poutine goes. Simple menu, fast service but somewhat pricier than mom and pop fries and burger stands. You cannot go wrong and ingredients are fresh. Much better choice when it comes to burgers than the golden arches by a mile...

This is a great fast food chain for a quick bite of burgers and poutine. Everything was delicious, so I have no complaints!
