We stopped off here to have dinner on one of our wine tasting tours in the Bordeaux wine country. It’s a nice, local bistro serving excellent food. The staff is really friendly and helpful. If you want to have a real taste of the traditional French cuisine, you must go. You won’t be disappointed! As a starter, we had lovely spicy, smoky prawns with citrus dressing and a glass of the local fruity, dry rosè. My boyfriend’s steak with aromatic herbs was delicious. Stopped off here for a nice lunch and we weren't disappointed. From clean fresh decor to friendly, unobtrusive yet knowledgable service, we were really impressed. Excellent bistro-style food, well-presented and nicely cooked. We had the charcuterie and terrine to start, followed by the bavette and lomo de porc, and ended with choc mousse and panne cotta. I'd come back if in the area and would certainly recommend to anyone coming down here. To be virtually full on a Monday lunchtime despite other good local competition is testament to how good this place is. Nice wine list showing off local and regional wine. We sat outside sunny day in the shade. The traffic noise was a little offputting, but the formule menu €14, 10 for children) looked OK. In truth the food was OK too, but staff kept us waiting again and again, particularly the boys who had 30 minutes or so to wit for a couple of balls of ice cream... I would definitely try Les Trois Mousquetaires next door next time.

Our best meals in France. Immaculate restaurant. Charming service. Delicious steak and confit of duck. We had the selection of desserts also delicious! Rest of clientele were local French so always the best sign of somewhere good. Thank you Chez Charlotte!

Nice place to have a family dinner. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Food is good nothing exceptionel. Good choice of wine at very affordable prices.
