When I here about it i assumed it to just be a normal meat and cheese place. But when I got in we were seated immediately and it took only minutes to be served. A cheese plate, a meat plate, and a salad was enough for a hungry family of four. We got there at 7 and the place was almost empty, but started filling up around 8. This is a perfect place to come, but as a warning, you will spend the entire evening eating fresh meat and cheese.
Delicious and simple food- charcuterie, oysters, cheese and nibbles and a great selection of (good value) wine. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed. The food service is quite slow and its quicker to go to the bar to get a drink than to wait at the table, but this is a great place to spend an evening. Full of locals, great food and wine and really amazing value.
Luckily for us our visit coincided with two musicians playing outside with the street closed off to traffic. Great music, friendly waitress, simple food - charcuterie, pate, huitres - but great wine and amazing value. Bottles are priced for take-away, then Euro 5 per bottle (normal OR magnum) to drink on the premises.
Turned off by the harbour front restaurants we ventured into town on our first day for lunch. Warm welcome, great wine selection and a lovely cheese and charcuterie selection. Highly recommend Chez DD for a visit if you are in Honfleur and this is your idea of a great relaxed lunch stop. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
had great evening good food and wine friendly staff good music.also a very good price for honfleur.all very simple food of meats salad and cheese lots of different wines.why go to a busy harbour side restaurant when you could go to this lovely place.we booked which is a good idea.
If you want something else than the 13 in a dozen restaurants in the harbour... take a little detour to Chez DD. Very good wine, tasteful dishes and open all day. The owner is very welcoming and hospitable. We loved it and enjoyed it very much!
Great wine choice, on a quiet street, away from it all. Delicious charcuterie and fromage boards. We went everyday of our stay AND bought wine to bring back home.
