Having decided upon Chez Fany for lunch in Montignac(unfortunately before reading any previous reviews), we were seated at a pleasant table on the edge of the seating area, which having a toddler and another child, suited us fine. 5-10 mins later a waiter offered us menus. At least 10 mins later he returned and took our orders, which on a busy lunchtime we accepted as run of the mill. We were then sat there for 30 mins without any drinks never mind food, anyone with children will understand that by this point patience was starting to wear thin especially in the heat. Upon going inside the restaurant to enquire where our drinks were and how long food would take I tried to speak to the waiter...
nothing in this restaurant is done home! it’s simple everything happens from a large well-known shopping center...the welcome is more than average; but when you even expect! that the products probably digest! the wine "a red shepherdac served out of the fridge, I make the remark and the waiter taking me for a nozzle says "we serve it like this here" Well! we always wait for the bread and it had to ask three times to get the water carafe, a shame, but as they are very well placed, they don't have to do it...!!!!not what choked me the most
A very good time with family! This establishment was recommended to us by a restaurateur on the left bank of the Vezère, and it was right!The quantities served are generous, the dishes tasted, the warm welcome and the pleasant service we have yet arrived at the end of service (13:45) and were surprised by the calm pace of our meal:A very reasonable expectation between the dishes but yet we did not hurry to finish our plate thanks for this moment
Unending. server in learning? boss who spends his time talking with his friends on the terrace but who doesn't interest the rest of the customers. We're still waiting for the fork to the server. forced to claim twice the order of wine. the glasses arrived once our dish was almost finished. We went from dessert and coffee so much the service was too long. Too bad, the place is beautiful. Don't take the restos tickets.

We went there on July 10 at noon and it was very good. The goat's plate salad and duck gratons (not fat) was very good and the salad was very tender,The rabbit's jam and the potatoes risulated with a small sauce was very pleasant to taste and the beautiful strawberry cut (no spun). at the whipped was very nice to finish this meal. The price quality ratio is excellent (15€) I recommend it to you.
The food was ok but we ordered a kid menu, well done beef with pommes frites. We got a full porsion and beef medium done. The beef was like chewing gum. We told the waiter and he apoligized for it. When we should pay we had to pay full prize for the beef, so we payed more for the kid menu than for two porsions with saøad for adult.
arrived at 6:00. No problem! very friendly servers, boss who comes greeting customers. the dishes offered are at attractive rates and even more when you see the plates! the restaurant is very well located on a small square facing the church. Stop without thinking, you will leave the belly full and the relaxed zygomatics ;)
endless waiting, flowing foie gras because not fresh, dry and much too cooked, long service. After 30 minutes we finally have our desserts (2 ice balls each!)2h30 in all for a dinner more than average. Lost servers and almost invisible bosses. To escape if you like the right kitchen. ..

warm and friendly welcome. the mushroom magret was very good and the perigord salad was also very good. Careful: the plates are copyy. good value for money.
the heavy hand on the Iaa. Is it great if you don't abuse it? servers (seasonals?) visibly during learning.
