Just returned from a day-trip to the river Var valley, canyons, mountains, and a picnic ‘en plein air’. On the way back we dropped at a small village Touet-sur-Var for a cup of coffee and a cigarette (not me, only my French friends, they had not yet adopted ‘elf and safety’ here). We stopped at the parking lot next to the Mayor’s office (I guess, anyway, there was a picture of their former mayor there), crossed the road and found ourselves at ‘Chez Paul’. Although the manager – I guess it was Didier Mayer, anyway, I got his card – advised that it is no cooler indoors that it is outdoors, and outdoors it was no less than + 30 C, we chose to come inside and at least avoid the noise from the tr...
Both my wife and I were passing through early evening . We were in need of something to eat and decided to stop here as this appeared to be the first village for miles driving from Nice. My wife who likes very plain food ordered an omlette which was cooked to perfection along with the meat dish that I ordered. Our regret is that we did not have time to stop for longer and relax and enjoy the very local French ambiance. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone which offers very good value for money along with excellent local cuisine.
on 25 mai I and my friend arrived this little town and take a break from this restaurant. we have not spent so much time, but we were very grateful for their kind of things. beautiful and clean place, well moistened puppy! if we fell back to france one day, we will have definitiw time for an evening meal.
It is a father-in-law institution for several generations, well located and with a beautiful terrace very pleasant. Being on the other side of the street, it is reserved for guests who do not have lunch. The varied menus are ally. Servers have a uniform worthy of the starred restaurants. If you are on the road from Nice to Valberg, stop off at Chez Paul in Touet-sur-Var. Well sourced ingredients, Provençale specialities, properly cooked and well presented by welcoming staff. With reasonable prices this was a very pleasant experience
A very good and pleasant restaurant. Very good kitchen. Warm welcome. Besides, a lot of customers. They're accustomed and coming back. And also a very nice boss. A good address during our perigrination in the Alpes de Haute Provence
On THE way to THE north we had lunch at this not impressive looping place. The food was excellent, original, very French, and the way it was serves was very nice. Good place to stop.
