Had a relaxed lunch at Chicco Palms, pretty quite for a Saturday afternoon which I found surprising for all the hype around this place. Love the building this is in, old school outside and really clean light and open on the inside. Totally missed the convenient parking down the left side of the building. Had a hard time deciding so the three of us shared the Mac and cheese, garlic pizza and roast potatoes. All was tasty and cooked really well. The crust on the pizza was so soft and moorish. The smells from the kitchen are mesmerizing and you watch everyone’s dish head out to their tables. Being that we shared there was room for dessert and I can’t go past a tiramisu. I have been to a LOT of pizza places, but Chicco Palms is definitely right up there. The mushroom pizza was incredible – I even had to stop conversation just to enjoy the flavour in full. The vibe of the place is lively but cozy, and it always seems to be packed. I'd give 5 stars if there were decent dairy-free options, but I still highly recommend coming here. You will not be disappointed (unless you're lactose intolerant or vegan)!
Delicious food, generous portions, busy place. If you're after a place that's bright and loud, this is for you! Don't come here for a romantic candle lit dinner for two. Plentiful italian food, a good selection without an overbearing menu. Pizzas were classic wood oven (Quattro formaggi), arancinis were hot and tasty, pastas were generous and rich. Service was a bit hit and miss but overall fine. Would go again.
I had to look hard to find any fault. Some chipped crockery and it’s noisy. Really noisy. But it’s clean and everything is excellent. The staff were great. The food (all of it) was amazing. The drinks were top notch. Great wine list. No wonder it’s busy and noisy, it’s great!!<br/ By the way, pizza bases were deliciously soft and the pizzas were... amazing! The atmosphere is electric. The kitchen is a hive of activity, staff chatting in Italian many hands making delicious food! The pizzas were perfection, balance between crust, sauce and toppings spot on. The Mac cheese with chicken balls were amazing. Staff warm and friendly. Book a table, it gets super busy, that’s reflects how good it is. Def recommend this place.
All I really have to say is YUM! Talk about a fantastic treat meal location. No need for gluten free pizza here when they source their flour from Italy! Winning! Freshly made traditional pizza perfection, plus we got the equivalent of Italian schnitzel, can’t remember what it’s called but that was also delicious. YUM! Check it out!
Went here for a baby shower last weekend and we had the feast with antipasto, pizza and pasta! There was so much food I was overwhelmed, but everything that was served tasted delicious. The pizza was fantastic I really liked the Margherita pizza! The Mac and cheese with gruyère was wonderful, I need to come back for it.
Great pizza place! The restaurant has really nice decor and had the vibes of an American diner. The service staff was really friendly and accommodating even though we reached the restaurant late. Absolutely delicious food, authentic Italian pizzas, friendly staff, what more could you ask for? Highly recommend this place, happy to keep driving half way across town to eat there!
