Overall, my experience was satisfactory, though somewhat lacking in flavor. The burrito proportions were disappointing—there was barely any pico de gallo, carne asada (even with the extra charge), or guacamole (again, despite the added cost). The lengua was tender and clean, but it was underseasoned and could have really benefited from a bit more flavor. If the prices were reasonable, I wouldn't mind as much, but paying $15 for a burrito that consists mostly of rice is hard to swallow. This area has a strong appreciation for quality Mexican food, and it’s definitely worth visiting places like Taqueria El Amigo for a better experience. The food at this restaurant is excellent, making it a perfect spot for a quick meal. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are flavorful. If you're planning to come for breakfast or brunch, it's a good idea to call ahead to confirm their hours. Today, we placed an order through their text messaging system and received an automated response saying it would be ready in 20 minutes (around 10:10 am). The website states they open at 9, and the open sign in the window was on. However, when we arrived, the doors were locked, and an employee told us they wouldn’t be opening until 11 am today.
When I'm writing a 5 star review without any photos, it usually means it was so good that I was distracted from picture taking. The food at Chilacates is that delicious. Great beans and rice, the tortas are incredible, the burritos fantastic, good sized portions, and plenty of options for vegetarians.

Consistently outstanding and fresh! I've loved this place for years. You really can’t go wrong with any menu item; we've tried almost everything over the years. Their breakfast burrito is one of my all-time favorite dishes!
Deserving of 0 stars. This photo is their taco plate , notice the lack of made tacos, and no chips?! Seriously the worst ever. Beans from a can, rice from a box. Food, not just Mexican food, doesn 't get worse than this.
This is a great Mexican restaurant with fresh and delicious food! I've tried it several times and have always had a wonderful experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and they offer outdoor seating as well.

The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere with a fantastic theme that I really enjoyed. The food was delicious, and I have no regrets about dining there.
